Tesco shoppers could be missing out on free Clubcard points worth £50.

Everybody loves snagging a cheeky deal and now Clubcard users who also have an OVO Energy account can cash in.

If you’re one of the millions of OVO Energy customers, it might be time to get yourself a Clubcard.

So how does the freebie work? Starting on Tuesday (June 25), OVO Energy customers can earn 2,500 free Tesco Clubcard points just by linking their accounts online.

Millions of Clubcard customers can then convert the 2,500 points into a £24 voucher, or it can be doubled in value to £50 when redeemed with one of Tesco’s Reward Partners.

These partners include the likes of Disney+, Alton Towers Resort and English Heritage – among many others which offer a huge array of fun activities and excursions.

The deal applies to both new and existing OVO energy customers.

Lizzie Reynolds, Tesco Group membership and loyalty director explained: ‘Clubcard unlocks the best value at Tesco and we are always looking for new ways to bring even more benefits to the 22 million UK households that have a Clubcard.’

‘Thanks to our new partnership with OVO, many Clubcard holders can now unlock 2,500 extra Clubcard points, giving money off their shopping or to double in value with more than 100 Clubcard reward partners.’

Tesco shoppers have been inundated with perks lately. Earlier this month, regulars found out they could get free household items simply by double checking their receipts in store.

Many of us are guilty of throwing away the receipt after leaving the checkout -some people don’t even ask for one.

However, Tesco receipts are worth holding on to (at least if you’re a Clubcard user) as they can feature vouchers for freebies like Fairy washing up liquid and Lenor fabric conditioner.

An anonymous shopper in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook shared a picture of a receipt entitling them to a free Fairy non-bio gel (listed for £6.50 on the Tesco website) with the coupon.

It’s time to take advantage of all deals!
